Well, not exactly, but some business will likely come from it.  Here’s the story…

I posted the photo below on my personal FaceBook page and so far 60 people have commented on it and over 158 people have “liked” it.

So what?

Well, several of the people have asked to become a FB friend, of course I said yes. To those who I have become friends with I sent the following:

“Hello (their name), I was wondering if you would be interested in taking a look at https://www.facebook.com/IMGmembers and possibly “liking” it? 🙂 The page is at https://www.facebook.com/IMGmembers.

Thank you SOOOOO much in advanced and have a wonderful week! ~Santa Ed “

Of course people are liking the business page. Everyday my blog posts automatically post to my FB business page and my relationship with each of these people  deepens and I have their “top of mind awareness” if they, or anyone they know, is looking for Internet marketing help I’m likely to come to mind.

These people are not “leads” but they are “centers of influence”, and while I’ll never be able to accurately assign a “return” to this “investment” I do think I can make a pretty compelling case that it’s worth something, and since it took less than 5 minutes, I think it was worth the time it took to make the post.

I’m not advocating that you use a personal FaceBook Post for business… but it doesn’t hurt to have a system in place to ask your new FB “friends” to “like” your business page.

By the way, the photo features a poster by  Holstee. See  http://shop.holstee.com/pages/about I’m sure they’re happy about this too. 🙂
