Are small businesses spending too much of the budget on Social Media or are they leading the way for larger businesses. I don’t have an answer but the graph below does concern me a bit. While I like Social marketing and it is working for me and our members it is FAR less effective than SEO, e-mail marketing an PPC.

I read the graph as a warning. Don’t put the cart in front of the horse. Definitely get social but be careful not to over commit time or money on tactics that produce paltry resluts, espicially at the expense of more proven tactics.
