In the SEO world Bruce Clay, Inc. is something of a big player. They have been around for a long time, Bruce is a popular speaker at the big conferences, they have large clients and charge big fees. In their e-zine today they said “In 2010 and early 2011, Google made several changes to its algorithm targeting spammy or low-quality websites. Specifically, two algorithm changes target sites that don’t have the most relevant or quality content for a user’s query…” They go on and on, you might want to read it, here’s the link- http://www.bruceclay.com/newsletter/volume88/contentfarms.htm, but my point is this. I have been saying this all along. Don’t try to “trick” Google, simply provide high quality content around the terms you want to rank well on… and of course do all of the other SEO stuff, but don’t try to take short cuts!
